The conference will take place at the faculty of physics of the Vienna University of Technology (Technische Universität Wien (TU Wien)) (Freihaus). TU Wien is located in the very heart of Vienna, in the pulsating cultural centre of town.
Within 5 minute walking distance are the Opera House, the art nouveau Secession building, the Musikverein, home of the Vienna Philharmonic from which the New Year’s Concert is annually broadcast around the globe, and the splendid baroque Karlskirche (Church of St. Charles). For more than 200 years, TU Wien has been a place of research, teaching and learning in the service of progress. TU Wien is Austria’s largest scientifictechnical
research and educational institution (2015/2016: 29,919 students and about 4,000 staff members)

Freihaus, the faculty of physics building, is named for a formerly standing here (demolished in 1937) tax-exempt complex of apartments, markets, workshops, and other buildings, including the famed Freihaus-Theater, where the Mozart´s opera "Die Zauberflöte" was premiered.
